Located in the heart of one of the world's finest cruising areas, Bay Sailing offers beginning and experienced sailor’s opportunities to learn and increase sailing skills with confidence and comfort in a spectacular setting. We follow the internationally accepted standards of the American Sailing Association (ASA). Whether you're new to sailing or an experienced boat owner seeking to improve your sailing or navigation skills, Bay Sailing will provide you with professional high quality sailing instruction. All of our sailing instructors are USCG licensed captains as well as ASA certified instructors with years of experience aboard a variety of boats all around the world.

Rockland's expansive and uncongested harbor is protected by a mile-long breakwater making it an ideal place for beginners to test the waters. The open bay beyond and its multitude of islands are easily accessible to cruising level classes.

We'll teach you everything you need to know to safely skipper a sailing yacht as a bareboat certified captain or competent crewmember. Bay Sailing offers ASA sailing courses that include:
